Comic Curious Cats
How do you make Romeo and Juliet-type relations work in a cartoon comic book?
I’m writing a book about streetfighting cats and dogs. How can you make relationships between male cats and female dogs, or female cats and male dogs work? They can marry but they can’t procreate or have intercourse or have children. How is this going to work? I know this sounds weird but I am curious. Please help.

Well, Romeo and Juliet didn’t procreate either. I don’t see where the issue would be. Don’t think about biology, focus on the romance. The forbidden love of one-another.
All you need is a love story about a cat that loves a dog and their families are against it and fight to keep them apart.
Think of lady and the tramp but with one character being a cat. I’d also suggest the man be the dog, and the woman be the cat. It just seems to fit.
